Score
The scores combines both speed and accuracy. It’s based on an Inverse Efficiency Score (IES), which balances how quickly and how correctly you respond.
- First, we calculate your accuracy (how many correct responses you gave out of all valid trials).
- Next, we find your median response time for correct answers only (so unusually slow or fast “fluke” responses don’t skew the result).
- Then we divide that median time by your accuracy. This gives your IES — lower means better (fast and accurate).
- Finally, we flip it into a game-friendly score by taking a constant number and dividing it by the IES, so that higher scores are better.
Accuracy
The proportion of valid trials where your response was correct. For example, an accuracy of 1 means you got everything right.
Median Response Time (Correct)
The middle response time for your correct answers (in seconds). Half of your correct responses were faster than this, and half were slower. Using the median instead of the mean avoids one or two unusual responses distorting the result.
